John HallJohn L. Hall III - John L. Hall III was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland on March 3, 1966 and moved to Reidsville in 1976 when his dad, the late Rev. John L. Hall, Jr. started a new church and school in the Reidsville area. He graduated from Reidsville High School and attended Guilford Technical Community College where he graduated from the Basic Law Enforcement Training program. John then joined the Reidsville Police where he served the citizens of Reidsville for approximately a year before joining the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department. He enjoyed serving the great citizens of Rockingham County while working his way through the ranks to a special investigator at the Sheriff’s Dept. After a successful career in Law Enforcement, he left the department to start his own business. John is the current owner and operator of Triad Driving School in Reidsville and has been serving the fine citizens of Rockingham County in a much different capacity. He also is the owner and sales manager of Blue Sky Realty, Inc. John graduated from Dan Mohr Real Estate School in 2005 and was the recipient of the 2010 Rockingham County Association of Realtors Elmo Hopkins Award which honors the recipient’s ethics. John was also recently awared the 2011 Rockingham County Association of Realtors "Realtor Of The Year". John now serves as the Rockingham County Association of Realtors president. He is a member of the Rockingham County of Realtors, the North Carolina Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. John is married to Robin Hall, formerly of Eden. They have one son, John Lee Hall IV and live in the Monroeton community, about eight miles west of Reidsville. They are members of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Eden. John is a member of the Reidsville Kiwanis and currently serves as an executive Board Member of the Reidsville Chamber of Commerce. He also enjoys volunteering his time to work with the youth in his community. John's hobbies include spending time with his family, traveling, playing golf, and coaching baseball. He has coached baseball teams from Dixie Youth Baseball up to and including the Rockingham Community College and Rockingham County American Legion baseball teams.

Sam PhillipsSam Phillips - Sam Phillips was born and raised in Reidsville and graduated from Reidsville High School in 1987. Sam attended Elon College and graduated in 1991 with a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing. He has been an active Real Estate Broker since 2000, and founded Blue Sky Realty in 2001. Sam was recently named Realtor of the Year for Rockingham County in 2005 and served as President of the Rockingham County Board of Realtors the same year. He is a current Board Member with the Rockingham County Board of Realtors. Sam received his General Contractors License in 2003. In 2006 he was designated ABR-Accredited Buyers Representative and SRES-Seniors Real Estate Specialist. Other activities include Past President and Lt. Governor of Reidsville Kiwanis and YMCA Board Member. Sam and his family are active members of Main Street United Methodist Church. Sam's family includes his wife Teresa and son Jack.
Mary Beth PowellMary Beth Powell - Mary Beth Powell was born and raised in Reidsville and graduated from Reidsville High School in 1994. Mary Beth graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1998 with a degree in Business/Human Resources Management. She has previous sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Mary Beth has two children. She has been in Real Estate for over 11 years and has an active Broker’s License. Mary Beth has an extensive knowledge of the community that she uses to help the first time home buyer and specializes in the foreclosure market. She is the past president of the Reidsville Jr. Woman’s Club and currently serves on the Reidsville New Housing Authority board. Mary Beth currently serves on the executive board as secretary for the Rockingham County Association of Realtors and past president of the MLS board. She is an active member of Reidsville Christian Church and a Girl Scout Troop leader. She enjoys spending time with her daughters, family and friends. Also, she spends time volunteering through different organizations in the community.
Larry BarefootLarry Barefoot - Larry Barefoot was born in Wilson, NC and grew up in the Bethany area of Rockingham county. I attended Bethany High School but wanted to play football and therefore graduated from Summerfield High School. I then attended Louisburg Junior College and later graduated from Elon College with a degree in Physical Education. A job with the NC Dept of Correction followed and I retired 30 years later as a 17A Judicial District Manager with the Division of Adult Probation/Parole. I was active coaching youth sports and am a former member of the Reidsville City School Board. I am also an active member of Woodmont United Methodist Church. I am married to the former Barbara Stallings of Reidsville and have one son, Jay, who lives with his wife in Hickory, NC.
Carolyn PowellCarolyn Powell - Carolyn Powell, a Rockingham County native, has been an active real estate broker for the past 40 years. She has served as president of the Rockingham County Association of Realtors and as a member of the Board of Directors. A past recipient of the Elmo Hopkins service award, Carolyn is a member of the Rockingham County Multiple Listing Service, the Rockingham County and North Carolina Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Prior to entering the real estate profession, she graduated from UNC Greensboro with a degree in Nursing Education, has been a surgical staff nurse at Moses Cone and Annie Penn Hospital and was Reidsville city schools nurse from 1970-1973. She has served as a registered nurse volunteer for the Red Cross Bloodmobile, past board member of the Rockingham County Board of Mental Health, past board member of the Reidsville City Schools Occupational Health Board, past chairman of the Reidsville Heart Association and past board member of the Rockingham Community College Foundation. Carolyn is the mother of two children and three grandchildren.
Karen PowellKaren Stovall Powell - Karen Stovall Powell, GRI, ABR, experienced in the real estate industry since 1986. She was owner and broker-in-charge for Carriage House Powell Properties. During that time,she won the annual Rockingham County Association of REALTORS® awards for REALTOR of the Year and the Elmo Hopkins award for her REALTOR® service contributions. Her history in real estate began when she was the Chief Financial Officer for a coastal resort developer. From there, she was recruited to be one of 12 Regional Directors of Automation for the CENTURY 21® International Real Estate Corporation. After 8 years of traveling, sHe and her husband, Scott, (now deceased) desired to return home to their Rockingham County families. She earned her designation as a NC state certified real estate appraiser and worked as a Rockingham County appraiser for the next 9 years prior to opening Carriage House Powell Properties Many know Karen through her community volunteer service. Since 2007, she continues to volunteer at the Rockingham County Business and Technology Center (RCBTC) as a SCORE mentor to local small businesses as she is passionate to see them succeed. She began in 2003 and continues to serve on the Board of Directors for the Dan View Cemetery Association to help her native Draper community. In 2004, she was elected to serve on Board of Directors for the Rockingham County MLS, Inc. and then elected to the Board of Directors for the Rockingham County Association of REALTORS, Inc. She has served on both Boards as the Treasurer of each as well as serving on various subcommittees. Karen is currently a licensed NC real estate broker and state certified real estate appraiser, graduate of the REALTOR® Institute, member of the National Association of Accredited Buyer Representatives and the National, NC and Rockingham County Association of REALTORS®. A graduate of UNC Greensboro, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. She is an Eden native and currently resides in the Wentworth area with her son, Jon Powell and husband, Kenny Scott.
Leigh SparksLeigh Moore Sparks - Leigh Moore Sparks, a North Carolina Real Estate Broker with 2 years experience has joined our sales staff. Sparks attended the Dan Mohr Real Estate School and J.Y. Monk Real Estate School and is a member of the Rockingham County Association of REALTORS®, the Rockingham County Multiple Listing Service, the National Association of REALTORS® and the North Carolina Association of REALTORS®. Sparks is a native of Rockingham County and has been the Office Manager for T & T Mini Storage for the past ten years. She is also a Designer with Celebrating Home. Her previous employment experience includes eleven years with Tultex Corporation in the Marketing department in Martinsville, VA. Sparks was also co-owner and manager of Rockingham Travel in Eden for six years. Sparks completed the Dale Carnegie course and was a certified Zenger Miller Working instructor while with Tultex.
Ruth ScottRuth Setliff Scott - Ruth Setliff Scott was born and raised in Rockingham County; graduate of Ruffin High School and Rockingham Community College; retired from American Tobacco Company; attended Dan Mohr Real Estate School; active Real Estate Broker since 2003; was designated Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR®) in 2006; member North Carolina Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, Rockingham County Association of Realtors; Zeta (alumni chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Society); active member of Calvary Baptist Church. She and husband Buford live in the Ruffin area; they have 5 children, 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Greg SaundersGreg Saunders - Greg Saunders is a 1988 graduate of Reidsville High School and currently teaches physical education at Rockingham County Middle School, where he is also the athletics director. Greg attended Appalachian State University in Boone and graduated in 1993. Greg and his wife, Carla, attend Freedom Baptist Church. He is an avid sportsman and enjoys turkey hunting. Greg began his real estate career in 2001 and received his broker's license in 2005.
Barbara MooreBarbara Moore - Barbara Stacy Moore, ABR, CRB, CRS, GRI, SRES -- Barbara was the former owner of Town and Country Realty for 38 years. Her company enjoyed an excellent reputation for outstanding residential, commercial and land sales, and she remains active in all types of real estate. Early in her career she earned key real estate designations which greatly enhanced her ability to offer full service expertise to her clients. Among her many notable business transactions are selling the land for Wal-Mart and Lowe's Home Improvement in Reidsville. She has received numerous honors and served in a variety of leadership positions: President of Rockingham County Board of Realtors, Rockingham County Realtor of the Year in 1987, the Jimmie Richardson Award, and the regional Chamber of Commerce's "Business Woman of The Year." Prior to her real estate career and continuing today, Barbara has been an educator, a passionate advocate for education, and a tireless volunteer in the community. She graduated from Ruffin high school at age 16 and graduated from UNC -G with a degree in Primary Education. She taught in the public schools for 10 years and was recognized as one of the "Outstanding Young Educators in Reidsville City Schools." Since 1996, she has been a Rockingham Community College Trustee, and during 2011 - 2012 she served as Chairman of the Trustees. She was past president of Reidsville Junior Service League as well as two times President of the Down to Earth Garden Club and President of Rockingham County Legal Auxiliary. She was a former member of Annie Penn Hospital Foundation, Chinqua Penn Foundation Board and Chairman of the Ruffin Whistle Stop Jubilee, and she continues to serve presently on the Wells Fargo Board of Directors. Barbara is a member of First Baptist Church in Reidsville. Her husband, Jess Moore, is a retired attorney who practiced in Reidsville. She is proud of her three children, John, graduate UNC – MBA (Arkansas), Mary, graduate UNC -- Masters (Harvard), and Carolyn, graduate of William and Mary. Barbara continues to find great joy and satisfaction from helping clients achieve their real estate goals.
Michelle HylerMichelle Hyler - Michelle has been a realtor assistant with Blue Sky Realty since April 2010. She graduated from McMichael High School and Rockingham Community College and is married with 2 boys. Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, voluntering, and watching her boys play sports. She is a Member of Spray United Methodist Church and a native of Mayodan NC, living in Eden for 12 years.
